This is a very unique scent and hard to describe. It's a very wonderful scent and a great night or even day scent. I get about 40% lavender but the bergamot and cider play a key role with the scent notes. I wouldn't sleep on this scent even if it helps put you to sleep!
Fantastic scent! These new essential oils work great, not unlike the fragrance line. Soft and luxurious and well styled all day. The scents are all great too, so far, but Northern Wind is so much better than I thought it would be. Perfect blend of fresh citrus and woodsy. I just got this new oil from Weatherbeard, and it is amazing. Bergamot , cedar and lavender are all scents that I love. They are blended to perfection in this oil. The way the lavender blends with the cedar and crispness of the bergamot is fantastic. This is the perfect calming scent to wear before bed.
As I rubbed this oil into my beard for the first time, I was hit with a familiar sensation. Have you ever opened up a tin of Early Grey tea and just took a nice big sniff? Aaaaaah, yes 🙂. Bergamot, the citrus used to flavor that tea, is the absolute star of the show here. Hold on a second, there’s no tea in the scent description, what the heck? I don’t mean it’s an exact replica, just what the scent is evocative of for me.
Early on, I got whiffs of lavender by itself. I say “whiffs”because it blends in so well with the bergamot in the beginning. The sharp lavender lasts less than an hour, giving way to a heart of bergamot and base note of cedar. Again, the cedar blends in very well with the bergamot, really grounding the scent and giving it a nice robustness.
The beauty of this scent is it’s hard to tell where one note starts and the other one ends. It’s blended beautifully, and it LASTS! I was bracing myself for it to go away after an hour, but it’s been 3 hours now and I can still smell it in beard. Absolutely fantastic. This may just be my favorite essential oil only scent I’ve tried yet.
Smells great in the bottle. When applied the citrus of the Bergamot really jumped out, as it faded the lavender took center stage, and as that faded the cedar became the star. Really enjoyed it and will definitely be a regular scent for me. As always the carrier blend is top notch.

To use, start by shaking out a dime-sized amount of beard oil into your palms and rubbing them together. Depending on your beard’s length, you might need a little more to ensure full coverage.
For best results, apply the oil to a damp beard, since your hair is porous and will absorb some of the water, allowing the oil to lock in and seal in hydration. (This also provides additional slip, making it easier to comb and style your beard while preventing tangles and snags.) Massage the oil into the skin beneath your beard to tackle dryness, then work your way through the hair from root to tip for even coverage.
