Our current carrier oil blend has worked well for many customers for a long time, but after months of research, testing, and ingredient sourcing, we saw an opportunity to create a more premium blend with an even better overall feel in the beard.

We are removing Fractionated Coconut Oil, Hemp Seed Oil, Shea Nut Oil, and Sunflower Oil from our carrier oil blend.

This update originally started with Fractionated Coconut Oil and Hemp Seed Oil because those two ingredients stood out as the most likely to create potential issues for certain customers. Fractionated Coconut Oil works well for many people, but it can interact differently with individual skin chemistry, sweat, or body heat, which may occasionally create an unwanted smell after application for a small number of customers.

Hemp Seed Oil is also a great carrier oil, but it can create complications for some customers due to international shipping restrictions or workplace policies. Certain military members, government employees, and professionals may need to avoid hemp-based ingredients altogether, even when the ingredient itself is commonly used in personal care products.

Once we decided to remove those two oils, we saw an opportunity to improve the blend even further. During testing and ingredient sourcing, we also chose to remove Shea Nut Oil and Sunflower Oil after finding more premium replacements that better fit the feel, performance, and direction of the updated formula.

Rather than making a small adjustment, we chose to rebuild the carrier oil blend with a more premium mix of carefully selected oils designed to feel lightweight, smooth, nourishing, and better suited for daily beard care.

No, the scent profiles are not changing. Your favorite scents will still be crafted with the same scent blends you know and love. The only change is the carrier oil blend used as the foundation of our Beard Oils, Balms, and Butters.

Because the base blend is being upgraded, some scents may feel slightly smoother or more refined during application, but the actual scent profiles are staying the same.
