Not if used properly. Our beard oil is lightweight and fast-absorbing, so it won’t leave a greasy finish. A good way to check is to run your hands over your beard about 30 minutes after applying. If your hands feel oily, you’ve used too much. Remember, a few drops go a long way.

Initially ordered this scent in a sample size maybe a year ago, then ordered it again in the reg size. This last purchase was my 3rd time ordering this scent, so that should tell you all how much I like it. ...and the women like it too!
It feels good and the scent is good but it’s really weak.
Not usually a big fan of fragrance oil blends usually (they’re a bit strong scent was for me) but this one is nice! Not too strong and the scent really does have a tropical feel to it.
Weatherbeard describes this one as a “bright, tropical, and smooth blend containing notes of citrus, vanilla, and coconut”. Check all the boxes there. I was initially hit with a burst of citrus and coconut that made my eyes open up and the hair on the back of neck stand up a little bit. I mean that in a good way 😂. Looking to wake up in the morning or for a pick me up to energize you in the middle of the day? I’d just apply some of this stuff. About a minute into it, I sensed some creaminess. Where did that come from? I went back to the description to be reminded there’s vanilla in here. This is a sweet scent, folks. The vanilla gives it a smoothness that ties it all together, and slowly takes that citrusy edge off over time. It mellows out to a subtle but present coconut & vanilla. Sierra Sunset is fantastic. Another absolute favorite for me from this line.
From a man who lives in the East Coast of Florida, this scent is exactly what I think of while walking the beach on a summer evening. The coconut and vanilla really make me feel like I'm taking in the fresh ocean breeze and the orange brings it together to give it the sweet scent that comes along with the beach. I'm not going to lie, I was very skeptical about how long the scent would last, however, I'm here to tell you I was very pleased with the longevity of the scent. It wasn't overwhelming whatsoever and I would get a whiff throughout the day, even 8 to 10 hours after I put the scent on. Plus my wife really enjoys it and that's always a plus!
Great scent, the oil is very good gives you at least a full day plus of moisture and hydration. The oil by itself gives you all that you need for a healthy beard but doesn't soften my beard as much as when I add the balm obviously, but Ive worn just the oil and it was great for at least 8 hours.
I first learned of this company from Dan C. Bearded & ordered the Coastal Command (I can't wait until that is restocked) but after reading the descriptions I decided I'd give Sierra Sunset a try & I am very glad I did. I love the consistency of both their oils & butters. Great product & they are now on my regular order list which is not them & about two other places but the scents here are right up there among the best I have tried & I have been bearded a long time now, try you some of this you'll be happy you did.
Just as the label says "Zesty Relaxing Smooth" Feels so good in beard, I find the scent so light and refreshing, using the oil & butter together keeps the beard feeling in control and soft all day long, great overnight scent as well. I have oil & butter to try in Orchard Breeze, Rustic Ridge, Lakeside Lodge and Coastal Command, but I can't stop using the Sierra Sunset long enough to get the others in rotation... yet !
